Guess today's player
Who's the player? tennis Wordle: guess box and the six clues: country, peak, hand, era, rating and skill
Six clues after every guess.

How to play

  1. Guess any player. Start typing a name and pick from the list. All 216 players can be guessed.
  2. Read the tiles. Green means that clue matches the mystery player, yellow means close, grey means wrong.
  3. Follow the arrows. ↑ or ↓ on the peak year and rating tell you if the answer is higher or lower.
  4. Get it in 8. Then share your grid (no spoilers) and keep your daily streak going.

The six clues

Country
The country the player represents.
Peak
The year his best years began. Yellow if within 3 years.
Hand
Left-handed or right-handed.
Era
Legend (a past great) or Modern.
OVR
Overall rating out of 100. Yellow if within 2.
Skill
His best skill: serve, return, forehand, backhand, net, movement or mental.

Tips

Open with a player from the middle of the timeline, like a 1990s or 2000s star, so the peak arrow splits the field in half. Then use country and hand to narrow it down: lefties are rare, so a green hand tile is a big clue.
